ROKiT F4 British Championship

Wera Tools, renowned for being the world’s ultimate screwdriving tool manufacturer, have been unveiled as the latest industry-leading brand to join the ROKiT F4 British Championship certified by FIA’s roster of Official Partners.

Founded in 1936, the iconic brand operates globally from its headquarters in Germany, with subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, Ireland and North America.

Their involvement in ROKiT British F4 as an Official Partner will see Wera kit out the Technical Centre from which the series’ renowned scrutineering team can operate, as well as Neil Brown Engineering’s engine operations to help ensure parity of performance across the field.

Wera will also present a Technicians Prize at each round aimed at encouraging the latest generation of talents off-track, as well as on it.

Hugh Chambers, Motorsport UK Chief Executive Officer, said:

“One of the key cornerstones to ROKiT British F4’s success has been the strength in depth of the technical department, ensuring a level playing field for each generation of new talents to prove themselves."

“Wera Tools supports the championship ethos, and with their help, we will significantly evolve our off-track setup, particularly the Technical Centre."

“The championship is crucial to the motorsport industry in the UK not just for its ability to develop drivers, but also their mechanics and engineers. Wera’s commitment to celebrating those off-track successes amongst the teams is a superb initiative, and we look watching those success stories come together as well.”

Wera stand as a formidable force in British motorsport; they have been the Title Partner of the British Karting Championships for the past two seasons, and also sponsored a pair of Motorbase-run Ford Focus challengers in the British Touring Car Championship last term.

The decision to back British F4’s new era is not only a statement of intent for the series, but also marks Wera’s first foray into single-seater racing. Their brand will adorn each competitor’s car throughout the 2022 campaign, ensuring visibility in front of capacity trackside crowds and live, free-to-air ITV4 television coverage.

Ian Walford, Managing Director of Wera Tools UK said:

“Wera Tools are very excited to be engaging with the entry-level professional single-seater series for young talent aspiring to reach their ultimate aim of Formula 1."

“It’s a natural step for us to take after our continuing involvement with grass roots racing during the last two seasons. As with the British Karting Championships, the 2022 ROKiT British F4 series creates the ideal synergy – a fast emerging tool company supporting fast emerging race stars. Under the management of Motorsport UK, we are confident that this series will quickly become the go-to proving ground for young drivers from all over the planet."

“We are the Tool Rebels and we love Race Rebels”.

The 2022 championship commences at Donington Park at the end of April and runs through until the finale at Brands Hatch in October.

Edward Pearson (Virtuosi Racing), Aiden Neate, Daniel Guinchard (both Phinsys by Argenti), Carlin’s Ugo Ugochukwu and Hitech GP’s Eduardo Coseteng and Daniel Mavlyutov are the named drivers to date with more to be announced in the coming weeks.
